I'm feeling a little hormonal and grumpy today.

I have recently gone off on a tangent about the following (a wrap up):
People having an opinion on my birth plan. (I don't really care what you think, it's my vagina. FYI.)
Returning to work after my matrnity leave.
Gift registries (I am freaked out that no one will buy from the registry and my baby will have to sleep in a box.)
And finally..Motherhood in general and how everyone wants to tell me exactly how little I know and how much I have to learn. (if you can't be supportive and not make me feel worthless then jump off)

Also, I would punch my grandma for some soft serve ice cream.

  1. Honestly, the baby would probably be better off sleeping in a box. At least it won't be constantly off-gassing formaldehyde. But I find it hard to believe that anyone in our family would leave your baby wanting for anything. Except for grandma, but that's cause of the punching. And you may not know everything there is to know about raising kids, but you've witnessed your siblings raise their children. You may know more than you think.

  2. They can all shove it. You guys are going to be great parents. You will love and care for your child and do whatever you need to make sure that she is happy, healthy, loved and feels secure. That is what makes great parents. Your maternal instincts will kick in and guide you with what to do. There may be times where you don't feel like you know what to do and that's okay because no one knows everything. And if there does come a time when you don't know what to do, you'll reach out to others for help and that is okay too.

  3. Liv-grandma could take me in a fight, we both know it! Also, regarding my registry freak out: Reasonable Angie agrees, Hormonal Angie randomly freaks out and cries for ridiculous imaginary reasons. We all miss Reasonable Angie.
Anon- thanks!! I wish I could tell who posted that so I could find and hug them. Xoxo.

  4. Oh! Grandma is safe. Anthony took me to DQ.

  5. I can't even imagine what pregnancy hormone freak-outs must be like. All I am is premenstrual and I lost my shit about 20 different times yesterday. Probably more.

Only a few more months now. Hang in there. (That's so not consolation, is it. People keep telling me that about the semester and it does nothing to destress me. The last bit is the hardest anyway. Ugh. Well, hang in there all the same.)

    And thank god for Anthony.

  6. Yeah, adding a countdown to anything just ups the anticipation levels as opposed to calming you, I get that. Oddly enough I would take this anticipation level over going back to college though. At least you are keeping at it!! I flaked on my 2nd year and never looked back!
